Don’t blame teachers for parents’ failures

What’s next? Should the teachers have to visit the students’ homes in the evening and tuck them in? Breakfast in the classroom, lunch at the playgrounds, after-school programs. The burning question is: What is the responsibility of the parents of these students? Far too many students are failing, dropping out of school, the list goes on and on.

It is time that the blame be put where it belongs. When you have children, you should be ready and responsible enough to raise them. Get up in the morning and make breakfast for your children. See to it that they are off to school on time. Make a lunch for them to take to school or make sure they have lunch money. Arrange to have someone meet them when they come home and help them with their homework. Make dinner for them and see to it that they get to bed at a reasonable hour.

It is called parenting!
