A softball tournament, a chicken barbecue, scavenger hunts and a silent auction featuring a football autographed by Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel are among the highlights of the Sixth Annual CAID Day at the Park from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today in Sunshine Park, East and West Road, West Seneca.

Hosted by the Crusade Against Impaired Driving, the event will see 14 teams competing for the top prize in co-ed one-pitch softball, including a team of state troopers and teams of family and friends of local DWI victims Gary Sengbusch and Jocelyn Elberson, who was killed by a drunken motorcyclist on an Amherst bike path last fall.

Sengbusch, a Buffalo police officer who was seriously injured in a DWI-related crash while off duty in 2011, will throw out the first pitch. DJ will be Richard Rice, father of Alix Rice, who was killed by a drunken driver. For information, visit www.caidonline.com.
