The son of late three-time world champion Hector “Macho” Camacho will headline the seven-fight Summer Throwdown 2 card tonight at 7 at Frontier Field in Rochester.
Hector Camacho Jr., 34, will face Lee Murtagh, the light middleweight champion of Ireland during the main event at the home of the International League’s Rochester Red Wings. Camacho (56-5-1, 31 KOs) comes into the card having won his last two bouts since losing to Luis Grajeda more than a year ago.
Buffalo cruiserweight Greg Brady (2-1), who is managed by Ring 44 Hall of Famer Ross Thompson, is also on the card.
Brady has knocked out his last two opponents — both in the past four-and-a-half months, since losing his pro debut via decision in December 2011. He will face Martez Williamson (1-2) in a four-round fight.
Featherweight Alberto Machado (3-0, 2 KOs), who is co-managed by Kenmore’s Juan DeLeon and trained by his brothers Carlos and Angel, is slated for a four-rounder against Andrew Moreno.
Ticket prices for the card are listed at $20 (general admission), $30 (reserved), $50 (reserved) and $100 (ringside). Call (585) 423-9464 to order tickets.
The show is being promoted by Pretty Girl Promotions, whose president is Mercedes Vazquez Simmons – the first licensed Latino female promoter, according to her company’s website.
