Open auditions will be held for the Towne Players musical adaptation of “Babes In Toyland” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and next Thursday in the Sheridan Parkside Community Center (169 Sheridan Parkside Drive, Town of Tonawanda). Opera-Lytes will hold auditions for tenors and basses for the fall production of “H.M.S. Pinafore” from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Amherst Community Church (77 Washington Highway, Snyder). Those auditioning should prepare one verse of a Gilbert and Sullivan song or one verse of an aria sung in English; an accompanist will be provided. Opera Sacra of Buffalo is seeking a strong boy soprano to play the lead in “The Little Prince.” Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in St. Joseph’s University Catholic Church (3269 Main St.). The Western New York Artists Group invites regional artists living in or from Western New York who are 18 or older to participate in the “22nd Annual Regional Artists Exhibition.” Works for the Western New York Artists Group should be delivered to the gallery at 1 Linwood Ave. between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 12.
