Former Bandit O’Toole picked for NLL Hall

Pat O’Toole, a former member of the Buffalo Bandits and a 16-year veteran in the National Lacrosse League, has been voted into the NLL’s Hall of Fame.

O’Toole spent three seasons with the Bandits, joining the team for the 1996 season after spending his rookie year in New York. The goaltender helped Buffalo win a championship in 1996.

O’Toole then moved to Rochester to join the Knighthawks in 1999. He stayed in Rochester through 2010. O’Toole was the league’s Goaltender of the year in 2003, and was part of the Knighthawks’ championship in 2007. He currently serves as Rochester’s goaltending coach.

Other finalists were Pat McCready, Kaleb Toth, the 1993 Bandits team, Chris Driscoll and Regy Thorpe. Details on an induction ceremony will be announced at a later date.
