Twenty-two people, all between the ages of 18 and 20, were arrested in connection with two large drinking parties early Monday and early Sunday in Wyoming and Orleans counties.

The more recent one occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, when Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies broke up a large underage drinking party in a remote location off Route 19 and Wyoming Road in the Town of Covington.

Deputies from Wyoming and Genesee counties, along with troopers from the State Police station at Warsaw, apprehended 91 people, 73 of whom were younger than 21, while many others fled.

The three people accused of coordinating the party were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal nuisance and conspiracy, according to police reports. They were identified as Robert W. Jeffres, 20; Kailene E. Jeffres, 19; and Alex T. Jeffres, 19, all of Wyoming.

At 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Orleans County sheriff’s deputies broke up a drinking party attended by at least 60 people in a wooded area south of New Guinea Road in the Town of Clarendon, authorities said. Nineteen people between 18 and 20 were charged with alcohol possession by a person younger than 21.
