NIAGARA FALLS – A man wanted for his role in an armed robbery in May was arrested by Niagara Falls detectives this morning.

Patrick D. Cronan, 49, of Main Street was charged with first-degree armed robbery for his alleged role in the armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store at 8109 Niagara Falls Boulevard at 2:34 a.m. on May 18.

Detective Daniel Dobrasz released a store surveillance photo on July 25 and he said investigators received a number of tips, all identifying Cronan as the suspect.

On May 18 a suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated, entered the store and demanded money, claiming to have a knife, according to police reports. No knife was displayed, but the clerk handed over $40.

Dobrasz thanked the public for in the case, which led to today’s arrest.
