STOCKTON – A Jamestown man with a suspended license was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and traffic violations in the Town of Stockton, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Scott L. Garbart, 42, was charged Saturday night with aggravated driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, deputies said Sunday, and he was scheduled to appear later in the Town of Stockton Court.
Police first received a call at about 10:15 p.m. reporting an unsafe driver on Route 60 in the Village of Cassadaga. A short time later, deputies on patrol spotted the suspect’s vehicle on Putnam Road in the Town of Stockton.
Traffic violations listed on the police report include driving across hazard markings and moving from lanes unsafely.
Officers said Garbert had a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
Officers said they also discovered that Garbart’s license had been suspended for a previous incident.
