Erie County has received a $39,890 grant from the U.S. Homeland Security Administration to improve infrastructure in the county Department of Emergency Services and a $10,313 grant from the City of Buffalo to enhance the Central Police Services criminal history arrest records management system.

County Legislator Timothy R. Hogues, D-Buffalo, said, “We are pleased to accept this funding to improve the county’s ability to handle emergency and disaster situations and to enhance our arrest records management to continue to work with all municipalities and law enforcement agencies in the county to provide essential public safety services in the most efficient ways possible.”
