Native names in weaponry is another great insult

I wonder if the people that are offended by the use of Native American names in high school mascots are equally offended by the U.S. government’s use of Native American names in their military’s weapon systems?

The Tomahawk cruise missile and the Apache and Comanche helicopters are just a few. The mission to capture Osama bin Laden included a reference to Geronimo. You may recall, the United States was engaged in the Plains Wars with the Native American peoples where some would say the United States was guilty of genocide. To name modern weapons after the peoples our Army has extinguished is where the true slur lies.
