ALLEGANY – A varied slate of events is planned Aug. 1-4 as the Allegany Area Historical Society holds its 31st annual Allegany Heritage Days.

Festivities begin Aug. 1 with an Allegany Get-Together, featuring free refreshments from 6 to 8 p.m. in Firemen’s Park, plus music by the Allegany Alumni & Friends Band.

Aug. 3 will see a day of activities beginning at 10 a.m. at the Heritage Center. There will be craft sales, food sales, games, face-painting, a display of Allegany Central School class pictures, antique toys and vintage quilts, plus music by the Allegany Alumni at 11 a.m. and Chordiac Arrest at 1 p.m. The Allegany Alumni Association will hold its dinner and dance Aug. 3 in the Robert H. Livingston Community Center.

Heritage Days conclude with a Classic Car Show in Firemen’s Park.
