BATAVIA – The Genesee County Fair, an annual tribute to agriculture and 4-H programs, will open a five-day run Tuesday at the fairgrounds on the East Main Street Road.
Opening day of the 174th exposition will include numerous 4-H demonstrations. The midway opens Wednesday and the grand parade follows at 6:30 p.m. A Fair Queen will be chosen Friday, with a demolition derby that evening.
The exposition, sponsored by the Genesee County Agricultural Society, closes Saturday with tractor pulls and the release of 4-H animals. Admission remains at $5 per carload.
