EVANCO, Michael S.

EVANCO - Michael S. Suddenly, June 21, 2012, age 54 of Snyder, NY, born and raised in Buffalo, NY where he met his wife Noreen. Mike cherished his family; of utmost importance was the time he spent with his daughters, Maura and Karalyn, continually leading by example and making sure he went the extra mile to ensure their happiness and well-being. Mike's sister, Mary, changed her name to Mary Michael Evanco upon receiving a successful bone marrow transplant from Mike in 2002. Mike was a talented IT Consultant and Senior Project Mgr. He was well respected in his community. An avid sports fan, Mike enjoyed watching the Bills, his Cincinnati Reds, and, most of all, his beloved Sabres. He loved the beauty and splendor of Letchworth State Park. He was the salt of the earth. He was exemplary in his honesty, integrity and kindness. His corny sense of humor made everyone laugh, especially himself. He unknowingly touched and influenced so many people. He was a great son, a great husband, a great father and a great brother. We will miss him beyond words. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 26 years, Noreen (nee Healy) Evanco; daughters Maura and Karalyn; parents Emma Evanco (nee Mooney) and John Evanco; sister Mary Michael Evanco Caryk (Rosty); brothers David (Kim), Mark (Amber), Christopher (Gina) and Kevin (Malika); beloved mother-in-law Maureen Healy (Eagleton) and special brother-in-law to Jim Healy, Colleen and Thomas Switala, Shaun and Paula Healy, Brian and Ellen McGuire. He is also survived by dear friends and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at THE DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Ave., Snyder, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 AM at Christ the King Church in Snyder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Child and Family Services, 330 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14202. Online condolences at
