McGuire Development plans a multitenant retail project for 1.5 acres it has purchased at the corner of Clarence Center and Transit roads in Clarence.
McGuire bought the property for $700,000 from Lois Daigler. There is a house at the east end of the property, but the land is otherwise undeveloped.
Plans for the retail project are still taking shape, and McGuire plans to present its plans to the town in the next 60 to 90 days, said James Dentinger, president of McGuire Development.
McGuire is considering a development consisting of 10,000 to 15,000 square feet, with two to three tenants at most, Dentinger said. "It's not that large of a site."
The property sits along high-traffic Transit Road, with a Noco Express station just to the north. There is a traffic light at the intersection.
Dentinger said the property is in an area that has experienced tremendous residential and commercial growth in the past 10 years, making it an appealing spot for retail development.
The house on the property will be torn down as part of the retail development, he said.
