The seventh annual Lewiston GardenFest, sponsored by the Lewiston Garden Club, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday along historic Center Street. The event is free and features open gardens in the village, daily speakers, master gardeners, soil testing, vendors and a potted container contest. Pick up maps at the hospitality booths. The 15th annual Parkside Garden Tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The tour begins at Church of the Good Shepherd, 96 Jewett Parkway, where tour maps will be available. Maps also will be available at the Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park. The Parkside Community Association, which sponsors the tour, suggests a minimum $5 donation. The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, in conjunction with the National Garden Festival, will present a Buffalo-style Garden Art Sale of outdoor sculpture, bird baths, decorative pots and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Parkside Lodge at Delaware Park. Also scheduled: Plant Society Avenue, which will include representatives from all eight of the specialist plant societies that meet locally as well as from Erie County Master Gardeners and the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens.

The Western New York Hosta Society will present an American Hosta Society Accredited Hosta Show, "An Arts & Crafts Garden," open to the public at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Parkside Lodge, Delaware Park. Anyone may enter. Exhibits will be accepted from 8 to 10 a.m. Judging begins at 10:30 a.m. Entries include Individual Cut Leaves, Container Grown Hosta, Container/Trough Arranged for Effect (Theme: Stained Glass) and Container/Trough Garden (Theme: A Walk in the Garden). Friends of Kenan Herb Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Kenan Center's Taylor Theatre Meeting Room, 433 Locust St., Lockport. Areta Buchner, from the Western New York Rose Society, will present "Cooking with Edible Roses." All welcome. For more information, call 433-3002.

Hamburg House and Garden Clubwill meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hamburg United Methodist Church, 116 Union St., Hamburg. Club members Corinne Arcangel and Shirley Hines will present "Wonderful Hardy Begonias." The business meeting will follow with the annual scholarship presentation.
