The New York State Society of Enrolled Agents, an organization of federally licensed tax practitioners authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS, appointed Jeffrey R. Gentner executive director. Gentner has been a member of NYSSEA for more than 30 years and has served the board in many capacities. He is the owner of JR Gentner, EA and Associates and maintains offices in Williamsville and Depew.

The New York State Bar Association named Ellen Weissman chairwoman of the 1,230-member Health Law Section of the association. Weissman is a partner at Hodgson Russ and head of the firm's Health Law Practice Group. She graduated from Swarthmore College and earned her law degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law.??Greystone Envolutions, an environmental, health and safety consulting firm serving clients worldwide, named Robert J. Kuberka a senior consultant and director of Western New York operations. Kuberka has 25 years of environmental management experience including risk management, regulatory compliance, remediation, engineering, and major project management. He is a graduate of the University at Rochester.

The Buffalo law firm Berardi Immigration Law appointed Jennifer Early an associate attorney. A University at Buffalo School of Law graduate, Early worked as an extern with the Chief Counsel's Office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the Department of Homeland Security in Buffalo.

Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel LLP appointed Michael E. Hickey an associate in its labor and employment practice group. An Ithaca College graduate, Hickey received his J.D. from the University at Buffalo. He previously was an associate at Nixon Peabody.

BryLin Hospital appointed Jennifer Seib director of outpatient substance abuse services in Amherst. Seib received her master's degree from Medaille College and her bachelor's degree from Hilbert College. She also teaches for Medaille College's CASAC program.

Buffalo-based professional services firm Algonquin Studios named Megan Kiernan a sales consultant. Kiernan will work out of the company's New York City office and focus on expanding the company's client base in the greater New York market. She is a Buffalo State College graduate and recently earned her MBA from Pace University's Lubin School of Business.

The law firm Webster Szanyi named Kevin A. Hinkley an associate. Hinkley previously was a law clerk to Judge Raymond W. Gruender of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and an associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, DC. Hinkley, a Niagara University graduate, received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Practicefirst, an Amherst medical management solutions firm, promoted Becky Amann to compliance officer and Megan Henderson to controller. Amann, most recently operations manager, has been with the firm for more than 35 years. Henderson has been with the firm for three years. She is responsible for the firm's finances, Human Resources and facility management functions. Also, the firm appointed Karin A. Bajak medical billing manager. Bajak will manage more than 20 employees and oversee more than 50 medical practices.

Village Square Events and Catering by Sinatra's named Kate Kronbeck director of events. Kronbeck is a Buffalo State College graduate. Village Square will open in July at 2878 Delaware Ave. in Kenmore with seating for up to 150 people and cocktail parties for up to 200 people.?
