Artpark's free Wednesdays in the Park and ticketed Tuesdays in the Park concert series commence this week.
First off, 1970s progressive rock legends Kansas return to Lewiston for Tuesday's season opener in its new amphitheater, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with an opening set from Western New York progressive musician Marcangelo Perricelli. Tickets are $5 prior to Sunday, and $10 thereafter (box office, Tickets.com).
Wednesday's free show is a killer one, with legendary reggae artist Ziggy Marley and his band presiding over a bill that also includes Buffalo's own prog/funk/jam ensemble Aqueous, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
VIP tickets, which allow access to a standing-room pit area immediately in front of the stage, are available for both concerts for $25, and can be purchased through Artpark.net.
