The Western New York Rose Society will hold its annual Rose Show from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Walden Galleria, near Sears. Roses from members' gardens will be displayed, and information on the society will be available.

A plant swap at the Holland Farmers Market is scheduled for Sunday. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the plant swap begins at 11 a.m. Bring a few plants that need to be thinned; go home with something new. Another plant swap is planned for Sept. 2.

Smallwood Garden Clubwill meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Forest Elementary School, 250 N. Forest Road, Amherst. Sally Cunningham will present "Lessons from Garden Walk Gardens." Guests are welcome.
Federated Holland Garden Clubwill meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brink Memorial Community Center, Legion Drive, Holland. After a business meeting and luncheon, Joseph DiDomenico Jr., president of the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society, will discuss the history, culture, care and classification of orchids. New members are welcome.

Forest Stream Garden Clubwill meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Forest Elementary School, 250 N. Forest Road, Amherst. Guest speaker Nancy Kalieta, docent and volunteer coordinator for the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, will present "The Victorian Language of Flowers." Guests are welcome.

Cinderella Isle Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2100 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island. Susan Loughran, National Garden Club master judge, will teach the basics of floral design, followed by a workshop for members to create a line design.
