CACICIA, Frances A. (Raco)
CACICIA - Frances A. (nee Raco)
The Lord took Franny by the hand and welcomed her into His kingdom on June 13, 2012. Franny was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was born in Jamestown, PA and moved with her husband Fred (deceased May 4, 1988) and their two young children to Niagara Falls, NY in the early 1950's. She worked for Jenss Department Stores at Mil-Pine Plaza and Summit Park Mall. She was the head of the department for hosiery, jewelry and gloves. Franny was known for her smile, her work ethic, compassion and strong Catholic faith. She was a fantastic cook and baker, especially her lasagna, pies and fig bar cookies. And she made enough to feed an army. She was a great hostess, and no one ever left her house hungry. Left with their memories of Franny are her children Diane Marie (Wayne) and John (Sharon); grandchildren Bryan and Krystal, Jeff and Allison, Marianne and Andrew; great-granddaughter Angelina; siblings Angeline (Mary), Sara (Jay), Frank (Marion) and Fred (Judy). She also leaves some members of her husband Fred's family and a multitude of nieces, nephew and cousins all over the world. The family would like to thank the staff of the second floor of Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport, NY for their loving, compassionate care, leady by Terri, Tracy and Tonya; also a special thank you to Pam and Stephen for their many acts of kindness and love. Calling hours will be observed at LANE FUNERAL HOME, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY on Friday, June 15 from 3 PM to 7 PM.
