GOLFING: The Gloria J. Parks Community Center presents the 9th annual Scramble Fore The Kids on Saturday July 7th. The proceeds of the event will help the children at the community center. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with transportation and lunch. A shotgun start will occur at 1 p.m. The cost for one golfer with lunch & dinner is $100 and the cost for a 4-some and lunch & dinner costs $400. Make checks payable to Gloria J. Parks Community Center and mail to: 3242 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.---The Lancaster/Depew Rotary club is holding its annual golf outing Monday August 6 at Diamond Hawk golf course. The day includes golf and cart, lunch, open bar, dinner and prizes. Cost is $110 per golfer and registration starts at 10 a.m. Lunch is at 11 a.m. and shotgun start at noon. RUNNING: The Upstate Elite organization is proud to hold their first unique running event this held which will be held at Buffalo Downtown Naval Park. The Run for Fun fundraiser is a 9.2 mile road race. For more information please call 444-8723 or email jeffburke46@yahoo.com

POWERLIFTING: The W.N.P.F. (World Natural Powerlifting Federation) will host the Tournament of Champions July 29 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Ramada Inn Hotel on North Forest Road in Getzville.
