Exigence of TeamHealth appointed Jennifer Redding practice manager of hospitalist medicine for Erie County Medical Center and Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston; Mary Ellen DeCarlo practice manager of emergency department services in Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center, Olean General Hospital and St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell; and Karen L. Costa an accounting manager.

Redding, who obtained her bachelor's degree and MBA from the University at Buffalo, previously served as a department manager, site director of finance and business adviser at multiple Kaleida Health locations. DeCarlo was a director for provider relations at Fidelis Care New York. She earned both her bachelor's degree and MBA from SUNY Empire State. Costa, a CPA, was chief financial officer at Great Lakes MDF. She is a Canisius College graduate.

Max Donatelli, department head for Health Care Integration -- Bridges to Health program at Baker Victory Services, received the William B. Hoyt Memorial Advocacy Award from Child and Family Services. He was previously recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community and to the growth of the department of psychiatry by the University at Buffalo department of psychiatry.

Kistler, a worldwide supplier of precision sensors, systems and instrumentation for engine, chassis and vehicle development, as well as manufacturing-process monitoring and vehicle component-manufacturing systems, opened its second U.S. location, Kistler North America Technical Center in Novi, Mich.

The company's main U.S. manufacturing operations, Kistler Instrument Corp., is on John Glenn Drive in Amherst. Kistler Instrument employs more than 70 people in Western New York. The new Technical Center employs 21, with in-house capacity for 50.

Brava Metal Supply Corp., Buffalo, won a $30,950 federal contract from the Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, for structural channels.

Theatre for Change, Buffalo, was awarded a $6,343 federal contract for a live interactive theater-based facilitation group from the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, Niagara Falls.

Delta Air Lines donated $20,000 to the YMCA Buffalo Niagara for its Strong Kids campaign. Delta will also present $20,000 checks at Frontier Field in Rochester to the Rochester YMCA and at a sports clinic to the Syracuse YMCA, to fulfill its three-part initiative to support the YMCA of Greater New York's Strong Kids campaign.
