Quota International of Amherst, an international organization dedicated to assisting the hearing and speech impaired, is hosting a Spring Winery Excursion from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The excursion includes motor coach transportation to three wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail (U.S.A.), a winery tour at LynOaken Farms, tasting at Leonard Oaks Estate Winery, a sit-down buffet lunch and wine tasting at Vizcarra Vineyards/Becker Farms, and wine tasting at Niagara Landing. Pick up and return at Eastern Hills Mall. Tickets are $65 per person and must be purchased in advance. Participants must be at least age 21. J.P.'s Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation established to better the community by charitable, educational and cultural programs, is hosting its signature event "Run the Burg for Autism," a 5K run/walk race in the Village of Hamburg to benefit Autistic Services. The race will start at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.P. Fitzgerald's Restaurant, 4236 Clark St., Hamburg. A post-race party including food and live music will be held at the restaurant. Williamsville Special Education Parent Teacher Student Association is hosting the program, "Prevention, Detection and Treatment of Drug Abuse in Suburban Teens," by Danielle McDonald, director of Outpatient Substance Abuse at BryLin Hospital, at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Williamsville Central District Offices, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst.
