HUBER, Donald

HUBER - Donald Age 86, went to be home with his Lord May 23, 2012. Don was an upstanding member of the West Seneca community, a WWII Navy veteran, leader of American Legion Post 735 and well-respected electrical contractor. More importantly, he was a remarkable father, grandfather and great-grandfather. After serving his country in the United States Navy during WWII, he was married to the late Joan (Lortz) Huber and together they had three children. Don co-founded Huber Electric with his brother Richard Huber and became the company's independent president in 1959. He ran the company until 1991 when his son and daughter took over the business. More recently, he relocated to Southwest Florida and lived at Calusa Harbour. He will always be remembered as the life of the party, a man with a soft heart and a warm smile, and a guy you were proud to know. He is survived by his three children, Laura (Dave) Tirone, Linda Huber and Paul Huber; his two grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Cargile and Kyle Tirone; and his two great-grandchildren, Amber Houghtaling and Charlie Cargile. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. (Southtowns Chapel), 3155 Orchard Park Rd., where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM. The family requests that those attending services wear blue, Don's favorite color, in his honor. In lieu of flowers, Don would prefer that you please donate to your local American Legion Post.
