Ghost hunts, candlelight tours, a zombie walk, a convention and a scream queen or two. It's going to be a horrific -- and we mean that in a good way -- weekend at the Central Terminal (495 Paderewski Drive).
First up at 8 tonight is a ghost hunt in the terminal, alongside such paranormal and horror celebrities as Tyler Mane, Brian Cano, Jane Riley and John Sabo. Limited tickets are $50.
The "ParaHorror Convention," from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, includes appearances by a lengthy list of celebrities, including Mane, a WCW wrestler and actor who has been seen in Rob Zombie's "Halloween" films and "X-Men"; Lloyd Kaufman from Troma Films; Leah Gibson, who starred as Nettie in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"; actress Melantha Blackthorne; Bigfoot expert Eric Altman; ghost cop Stacey Jones; para-historians Beyond Ghosts; Rosalyn Bown from "Ghost Hunters Academy"; and Brian Cano from "The Haunted Collector." The convention offers lectures, screenings and workshops; admission is $15 advance, $20 on Saturday. The "Terror Technologies Zombie Walk" is at 5 p.m. Saturday; an additional admission of two canned goods or $2 donation to the Food Bank of Western New York is required.
On Sunday, hour-long candlelight tours are scheduled every 30 minutes from 8 to 11 p.m. For a full list of activities, check out www.beyondghosts.com.
