Five Spot / Quick hitters on the light side

1. BLING FOR SALE

Giants Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor (above) is auctioning off his ring from the 1991 Super Bowl. I guess beating the Bills and paying them are two different things.

2. FAT CHANCE

Jets running back Joe McKnight says he gained 16 pounds in the offseason thanks to a junk food diet. The good news for McKnight: The Food Channel wants to feature him in a new reality show, "Hard Knockwurst."

3. RANTS 'R US

Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said he is fed up with Twitter and is quitting his account. Which means that baseball's weird-tweet mantle now falls squarely on Jose Canseco.

4. KHLOE & COMPANY

Ex-Laker Lamar Odom sold his Marina Del Rey rental property for more than $1.8 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. If you're still reading this far, it might be time to turn off the E! network and get out of the house.

5. UNDER THE HOODIE

A story from Forbes magazine said that Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots is the highest-paid coach in American sports, pulling down $7.5 million a year. He is also the highest-paid man in the country who buys his wardrobe at a Goodwill store.
