MUSIC PROGRAM FUNDRAISER: The Cheektowaga Central Music Boosters will sponsor a jazz coffee house and gift basket auction from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday in the Cheektowaga High School cafeteria, 3600 Union Road. The event will feature the jazz ensembles and combos from the high school and middle school. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING: Dave Sherman, Town of Amherst historian, will present a program titled "Williamsville and the War of 1812" when the Village of Williamsville Historical Society meets at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Village Meeting House, 5658 Main St.

VETERANS BENEFITS EVENT: Veterans are invited to learn about their Veterans Affairs health care benefits at an information event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday the VA satellite clinic at Springville Primary Care, 27 Franklin St., Springville. Counselors will be available to assist with eligibility and enrollment in VA health care and to explain other veterans benefits. Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their discharge papers and 2011 financial information for proper benefits counseling. Contact the clinic at 592-7400.

HAM DINNER: The Elma Fire Company Auxiliary will host a ham dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the social hall at the Elma Fire Hall, 2945 Bowen Road. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children. Children younger than 5 eat free.
