>Q: When will "True Blood" be back?

-- John Porter, Wheeling, W.Va.

A: June 10 is the date HBO has set for the start of fifth season of the vampire drama, starring real-life spouses -- and now parents-to-be -- Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. Significant cast additions will include Christopher Meloni ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") and Scott Foley ("The Unit," "Felicity").

>Q: I love "The Mentalist," but now CBS has a new program in its place. Will it come back?

-- Betty Phillips, Stuart, Fla.

A: That was a one-time-only situation last month, when CBS moved "Person of Interest" an hour later for a week to see how it might fare. The network does a lot of that sort of time-slot experimentation each spring, but "The Mentalist" has been back in its customary place for several weeks. Its season finale is set for this Thursday, as Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) again tries to bring down his archenemy Red John.

>Q: Isn't the sportscaster Jimmy Roberts the son of the late Jimmy Roberts, former tenor on "The Lawrence Welk Show"? I'm pretty sure there is both a vocal and facial resemblance.

-- Judy Bond, Johnstown, Ohio

A: If they look that way to you, it's more coincidence than heredity, since they aren't related. Vocalist Roberts was the father of two sons named Gary and Steven.
