The Butler Mitchell Alumni Association will sponsor the second annual Summer Camp Night of Champions fundraising event. It will take place May 23 at Statler City in Buffalo from 6-10 p.m. The night will feature the support and appearance of several local and national sports celebrities including Hall of Famers from the Bills, Sabres and Bisons, along with other sports figures. Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure will sign autographs at a fundraiser for Niagara Hospice from 6 to 8 p.m. May 24 at the Niagara County Deputy Sheriff's Association union office, 20 Market St., Lockport. An admission ticket to the autograph signing is $10, and the ticket is the certificate of authenticity for one item to be signed by DeLamielleure. Fans may purchase as many tickets as they want. In addition, DeLamielleure will be demonstrating his "Joe D Bands" exercise and resistance training system. A fundraiser to benefit lacrosse officials Chris Clark and Tom Sutton will be held on June 2 at Jack Devine's Irish Pub, 4170 Southwestern Blvd. in Hamburg from 6 to 9 p.m. Clark will serve as one of the three American officials at the upcoming U19 World Championships, while Sutton will be the Assistant Referee in Chief. The championships will be held in Finland in July, and the fundraiser will help to cover some of the costs of the trip. Call Ritchie at 604-6997.


BASKETBALL: The Frontier Boys Basketball Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 16-20 for boys entering grades 5-12. The camp, directed by Frontier varsity coach Gary Domzalski, will be held at Frontier High School. Camp includes instruction, contests, team play, T-shirt and awards. Cost is $50. Call the Hamburg Recreation Department at 646-5145 or go to The Wendy's Summer high school leagues will begin June 11th at Gloria J. Parks Community Center. Only ten teams allowed in each league, first come, first serve.
