Five Spot / Quick hitters on the light side

1. OLD IS NEW DEPT.

Oklahoma State QB Brandon Weeden, 28, became the oldest first-round draft pick in NFL history. Now, if the Browns can just find some blockers to keep those young defenders off his lawn.

2. MOOED ADJUSTMENT

A cow in California's San Joaquin Valley has been diagnosed with Mad Cow Disease. Coincidence? The cow recently had renamed itself Metta World Peace.

3. PACMAN JONES JR.

Cornerback Janoris Jenkins, the Titans' first-round draft pick, has two marijuana arrests, a bar-fight arrest and four children with three women among his credits. Or as NFL talent scouts prefer to call it, a modern-day triple threat.

4. THEY CALL HIM TWITTER

Brazilian soccer star Kaka became the first athlete to accumulate 10 million Twitter fans, sending out his tweets in English, Spanish and Portuguese to -- at last count -- 10,252,233 followers. Twitter fans and critics had the same reaction: That's a lot of Kaka.

5. WHAT, NO DICK VITALE?
