DIGITS LLC, which specializes in computer forensics and digital investigations, appointed Kyle Cavalieri, manager of computer forensics and investigations, to the management committee. Cavalieri is a Hilbert College graduate. Also, the company appointed Kelly Merz marketing coordinator. Merz holds a bachelor's degree from Hilbert College, and a master's degree from St. Bonaventure University.

ABC—Amega, a global commercial receivable management firm, named Kyle Wheeler regional sales manager of its New England sales territory, based in the company's Buffalo office. He is a Brockport State College graduate.

Syro Logistics, a trucking and freight brokerage firm based in Williamsville, named Patrick Morrison vice president of logistics. Morrison joined the company in March 2012. He graduated from Buffalo State College.

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce promoted Allison Whalen to creative manager. Whalen will be responsible for the creative design work of all outside marketing materials, and continue to manage the Chamber's electronic communications and website. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Bonaventure.

Merrill Lynch appointed Matthew E. Ryan and Kurt E. Schulz vice presidents. Ryan is a graduate of Buffalo State College and is a part of the Siwiec, Ryan, Vita&Associates group in Buffalo. Schulz is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and works in the firm's Buffalo office.

Calamar, a Wheatfield-headquartered real estate organization, appointed Linda Orffeo building manager for Eagle Crest Senior Village at Calamar, a 90-unit senior community in Orchard Park. She has more than 12 years experience in managing and marketing senior properties in the Orchard Park area.

The Ballow Law Firm named ThomasR. Elliot and Michael A. Iacono associates.

Elliot earned his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law after graduating with a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto. Iacono, a graduate of Canisius College, earned his J.D. from St. John's Law School.
