WILD EXPEDITION: Hawk Creek Wildlife will host "Destination: Earth 2012 -- The Wild Corners of the World," a family event showcasing more than 80 live animals, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the preserve, 655 Luther Road, East Aurora. All children will receive an activity booklet. Event parking is free, and tickets are $10 adults; $9 veterans and seniors; $8 children; and $26 for a family pass.

KIDS' CLUB: Masterson's Garden Center will begin hosting its Kids' Club with a kickoff meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at the center, 725 Olean Road, East Aurora. This year the focus is on aquaponics. HULL HOUSE BREAKFAST: The Hull Family Home & Farmstead's annual Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday in Applebee's, 5017 Transit Road, Clarence. FASHION SHOW: Soiree, the 31st annual fashion show presented by students from the fashion, tourism and hospitality programs at Genesee Community College, will take place at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday in the Forum, 1 College Road on the Batavia Campus. GOURMET MUSHROOMS: Wyoming County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 401 N. Main St., Warsaw, will hold a homegrown gourmet mushrooms workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Participants enjoy a demonstration to produce edible gourmet shiitake and oyster mushrooms and inoculate logs to take home to grow. Logs and plug spawn provided. Cost is $20 per person.
