Q: When does "Desperate Housewives" air its final episode?

-- Pat Smith, Gahanna, Ohio

A: On May 13, and ABC is giving it two hours. Not surprisingly, details have been kept under wraps, but creator and executive producer Marc Cherry has confirmed one thing that probably won't be a surprise to those who have been fans from the beginning.

The introduction to the world of Wisteria Lane was provided by Brenda Strong, as the voice of series narrator Mary Alice Young, and you can expect her to have the final word when the show signs off. Cherry reportedly has told the actress something along the lines of "It started with you, and it'll end with you."

Q: I've heard that "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will be back next season. What about "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY"?

-- Jeff Marks, Port St. Lucie, Fla.

A: At this writing, there was nothing definite about the other two CBS series. That doesn't necessarily mean they won't be back; it's partially a matter of which new shows CBS picks up for next season and whether the other "CSI" time slots are needed for those.
