FUNDRAISING EVENT: Fredonia State College Women's Student Union will host an event for the Clothesline Project from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buster Brown Bean Co., 33 Church St. Fredonia. The event will consist of special performances by Megan Tonjes and students. T-shirts also will be available for decoration. CAREER FAIR: The African American Cultural Center will host a Career Fair presented by Buffalo State College students from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 350 Masten Ave., Buffalo. For information, call 884-2013.

MUSICAL EVENT: Musical Feast, a resident music ensemble at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, will perform its third concert of the season at 8 p.m. Friday at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo. Flutist Carol Wincec, cellist Jonathon Golove and pianist Claudia Hoca will perform the music of Martinu, Stravinsky and Schoenfeld. Call 878-6011.

FISHING DERBY: The Town of Clarence's annual fishing derby will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Town Park, 10405 Main St. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. The event is catch-and-release, and participation is limited to children 15 and under. Trophies will be awarded for the largest, smallest and most caught.

AUCTION: The Erie County American Legion Family Project "Veterans Helping Veterans" is hosting a silent auction from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Milton J. Brounshidle American Legion Post 205, 3354 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. Admission is $10 per person and includes snacks, pop, beer and music by Just Mo Music. Food also will be available for purchase. Auction tickets are $5 per sheet or five sheets for $20. All money raised will go to assist homeless veterans. Organizers also ask the community to help by donating a basket, gift cards or gift certificates.
