*Genesee Community College's Senior Portfolio Exhibit runs through April 28 in the Springville Center for the Arts (37 N. Buffalo St., Springville; www.springvillearts.org).

*"An Evening With Joe Orffeo," a workshop for local artists featuring the longtime Western New York painter, is slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the SCA.

*Playback Theatre of Buffalo, a performance troupe whose members "play back" stories from audience members, performs at 3 p.m. April 14 in the SCA.

*"Theater Night with Doug Zschiegner," a workshop for local actors and performers led by Zschiegner, a Niagara University theater professor and actor, is at 7 p.m. April 18 in the SCA.

*Matthew Ehlers, a New York City-based filmmaker, 8 p.m. May 5 in the SCA.

*The inaugural "Springville Spring Art Crawl," sponsored by the Downtown Springville Economic Development Group, is slated for May 5. The organization's fall Art Crawl, in which art exhibitions of work by local artists were placed in some two dozen local businesses, drew big crowds. Organizers hope to build on the success of the event and to draw audiences from across Western New York for its upcoming event.
