Calling all camps!

The Buffalo News plans to run its annual directory of summer camps in the WNY area in early May. If you would like your camp listed, please e-mail the information to Deputy Sports Editor Dennis Danheiser at ddanheiser@buffnews.com. There is no charge.

Gymnast Samantha Miller qualified for Regionals by scoring a 36.425 at the Level 8 State Gymnastics Championships in Rochester. She won the gold medal on vault (9.425), was fourth on bars and second in all-around. Brooke Delaney took fifth on beam and seventh in floor exercise.

BASKETBALL: The Eldredge Club's Annual Tournament will start the week of April 16 in four divisions -- Open, 40-Over, 50-Over and 60-Over. The cost is $150 per team if paid in full by April 11. Contact Joe, 479-8422.

FOOTBALL: Mark Gaughan, veteran Buffalo Bills beat reporter for the Buffalo News, will discuss the NFL draft and upcoming Bills season on April 17, 7 p.m. at Brighton Place Library, 999 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda. The free event includes a prize contest for predicting Bills draft choices.

HOCKEY: The Buffalo Stars are holding tryouts today for their 18U team at the Holiday Twin Rinks, Cheektowaga, 4 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. for the 16U full season team. Tryouts for eight different teams will be held on Wednesday. A full schedule is available at www.buffalostars.com. Players need a release from their current organization to try out and should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled ice time. . Cazenovia Park hockey tryouts for the 16U midget team will be held from 7-7:50 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. All players are welcome. Cost is $10.
