Some recent notable real estate deals in the Buffalo Niagara region:

1) Location: 5358 Old Lakeshore Road, Hamburg

Price: $2.68 million

Planned Use: Residence. Five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home on 2.74 acres on shore of Lake Erie. Purchased by South Buffalo native and Chicago Blackhawks star center. Built in 2006.

2) Location: 50 Tudor Place, Buffalo

Price: $1.14 million

Planned Use: Residence. Property is 8,695-square-foot, two-story mansion with eight bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, on nearly half an acre. Built in 1910.

Planned Use: Investment. Property is 10-acre Transit Cayuga Village Mobile Home Park community, with 59 homes. The park is mostly occupied. Brett has owned it for 17 years, but wanted to retire from an active role. Part of the property is also vacant, but Adams wants to put up a self-storage facility.

4) Location: 998 Broadway, Buffalo

Planned Use: Deep-discount supermarket chain Aldi is building a 15,390-square-foot $1.1 million grocery store, slated to open this summer, on 1.55 acres parcel of vacant land across from the Broadway Market, near Fillmore Avenue. The parcel is part of the larger vacant property that is the former home of Sattler's Department Store, one of the city's most famous retailers before it closed in 1982. That store was razed in 1987 to make room for a Kmart store, which closed in 2002. Resul-Tech is a provider of alternative school models and technology solutions. The owner of the remaining 5.25-acre property, including an empty 100,000-square-foot building, issued a request in November for proposals to redevelop the entire property, using federal New Markets Tax Credits. About 40,000 square feet of the building is to be used for a sustainable career and technology center, but the rest of the building and two-acre parking lot is open for redevelopment.

5) Location: 57 Main St., City of Tonawanda

Price: $200,000

Buyer: 57 Main LLC, of Tonawanda

Seller: Kory M. Schuler and James C. Mayne

Planned Use: Uncertain. Property is a commercial building. Home to Vietnam Veterans of America's Western New York chapter, and across the street from American Legion of the Tonawandas. Buyer is registered to the address of a neighboring business, Mueller Services.

6) Location: 415 Franklin St., Buffalo

Price: $160,000

Seller: Stancorp Mortgage Investors of Hillsboro, Ore., through 415 Franklin Street LLC

Planned Use: Investment. Property is a three-story, three-unit, 4,053-square-foot apartment building on 0.15 acres in Allentown, with six parking spaces. Includes 1,000 square feet of retail space. Built in 1880. Formerly owned by bankrupt downtown Buffalo real estate investor and developer Fredericksen Development LLC, which is owned by Charlie Fredericksen, but Stancorp foreclosed on several of his properties last July.

7) Location: 1535 Hertel Ave., Buffalo

Price: $90,000

Buyer: Robert Ruth of Amherst, through Hertel Properties LLC

Seller: M&J Development LLC, in foreclosure, and Frank Buffomante, as referee

Planned Use: Commercial property houses a law office, a tailoring and alterations shop, and James Ostrowski's Free Buffalo and Free New York groups. Seller could not be further identified.

8) Location: 1524 Main St., Buffalo

Price: $75,000

Buyer: Nick Sinatra/Sinatra & Co. Realty, through 945 West Ferry LLC

Seller: Irene N. Gipson

Planned Use: Redevelopment. Former home of Gipson's Main Ferry Discount liquor store. Will be knocked down and incorporated into a larger development project by Sinatra, who previously purchased a vacant lot at 1516 Main and an ornate three-story commercial building at 1526 Main. He also owns the former Fenton Hotel at 945 West Ferry St.
