Q: I would like to know if CBS is canceling good shows like "NCIS" and "The Good Wife" for yet another reality show, the Paula Abdul one.
-- Millie Rau, Lakewood, Colo.
A: The network just gave Abdul's "Live to Dance" a Tuesday-night launch at the start of the month; it's now seen regularly on Wednesdays. The usual Tuesday lineup of "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife" remains intact.
Q: I loved "The Walking Dead" on AMC. Will there be a sequel? It just can't end that way.
-- Joyce Kenna, Stuart, Fla.
A: No, it can't. If by "sequel," you mean "second season," there absolutely will be one. The horror drama was a blockbuster for AMC, speaking in terms relative to cable programming, so it was a no-brainer that the series would be renewed.
In fact, even though it's several months away, we can tell you exactly when the new episodes will begin: Halloween, which also happened to be the night when the show premiered last fall.
Q: What ever happened to the Lifetime show "Drop Dead Diva"? Any chance it's scheduled to return?
-- Bunny Hyman, Massapequa, N.Y.
A: Better than a chance, actually. The Brooke Elliott-starring show has been renewed for a third season.
