A very busy lineup Friday includes other key divisional matchups with Maryvale at Depew at 7:30 p.m. in ECIC III and JFK at Cleveland Hill at 6:30 p.m. in ECIC IV.

*It's No. 1 vs. No. 2 tonight in girls basketball. Two rivalry games also on tap tonight have West Seneca West at West Seneca East and Kenmore East at Kenmore West at 7 p.m. (it's a doubleheader with the boys game starting at 5:30). St. Mary's, the top-ranked small school, plays two large school heavyweights this week: No. 3 large school Sacred Heart tonight at 6:30 at Villa Maria Academy and a home game against Holy Angels at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

*The ECIC Wrestling Championships are Friday and Saturday at Clarence. All 27 teams will compete for team and individual titles. Defending team champion Clarence, along with Iroquois, Lancaster and Eden are among the favorites. The 112-pound final could come down to Steve Michel of Lancaster and defending state champion Abdulgawi Mohamed of Lackawanna. Contenders at 119 are Eric Lewandowski of Lancaster and Tom Page of Eden, both returning state qualifiers. Jim Kloc of Iroquois, state runner-up last year at 140, is a favorite at 145. Wrestling begins Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Cattaraugus/Little Valley is hosting a round-robin tournament Saturday.
