Set your sights on these sites

ShopSmart, the shopping magazine published by Consumer Reports, has come up with its first list of the best shopping sites. The list is divided into five categories: Clothing & Accessories, Foodie Stuff, Home Decor & More, Shoes and Everything Else.

"We've looked at thousands of sites, and these offer great bargains, a fantastic selection or stellar customer service," said Lisa Lee Freeman, editor-in-chief of ShopSmart.

Every site mentioned was evaluated to make sure that it has a posted privacy policy, visible contact information and readily available customer service, and that if it shares your information with a third party, customers can opt out. To come up with the final list of ShopSmart's favorite sites, all of the editors, designers, art directors and photo editors weighed in with their standout choices.

This is the result: ShopSmart's Favorite Shopping Sites of 2010.
