Jackets, Ducks deal: The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired center Trevor Smith from the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Nate Guenin in a swap of minor leaguers.
Philadelphia Flyers: Galtender Michael Leighton cleared waivers and was sent to the Flyers' AHL affiliate. Leighton, 29, a standout during the Flyers' run to the Stanley Cup finals last season, will play for the Adirondack Phantoms for the foreseeable future, while the Flyers move on with Brian Boucher and Sergei Bobrovsky.
