Dr. Raymond A. Monin, a longtime dentist in Buffalo, died Thursday in the Schofield Residence, Kenmore. He was 94.
Born in Lancaster, he graduated from Canisius College and the University at Buffalo School of Dentistry.
He was a veteran of the Army, serving in North Africa and Italy during World War II. He also served in the Army Reserve, and retired with 38 years of service.
He was a member of the UB Dental Alumni, serving as president in 1958, and a member of Kiwanis Club, serving as president in 1959. He had been a member of St. Amelia Parish since 1955.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Bruiknern Monin; a daughter, Christine Kaminski; and three sons, Michael R., Gregg John and David; three sisters, Annette Kruschke, Lorna Gorski and Lenore Johnson; and two brothers, Albert and Dr. Louis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Amelia Church, 2999 Eggert Road, Town of Tonawanda.
