Daniel Spychala, 67, formerly of Lackawanna, died Oct. 22 in Fort Meyers, Fla. The Area Deaths in Tuesday's News incorrectly listed his son, also Daniel Spychala, 45, of Blasdell.


An article in Saturday's News incorrectly said John Zhang and Wei Zhen Ma own the China King restaurant in Hamburg. The couple sold the restaurant in September and no longer has anything to do with the business.

Also, the Chen King Buffet, directly across South Park Avenue from China King, has no connection to the restaurant that was cited by the Health Department, according to Qiu Yun Chen, president of Chen King.


A story on the Amherst town clerk's race in some Monday editions should have stated Amherst Council Member Deborah Bucki earned a doctorate, not a master's degree, in medical sociology. In addition, Bucki's son is a committeeman with the Amherst Democratic Party, not an officer, though Bucki herself is corresponding secretary on the executive committee.


Church Women United of the Tonawandas will celebrate "World Community Day" at 1 p.m. Nov. 7 in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Melody Lane, North Tonawanda. The day of the meeting was incorrect in Saturday's editions.
