St. Bonaventure men's soccer: Dan Mitchell and Fabrizio Savarino scored the goals as the Bonnies (4-4-1 overall, 2-1-1 in the A-10) defeated visiting Duquesne, 2-0. Goalkeeper David Flynn has eight saves for the shutout.
Canisius volleyball: The Griffs' five-match winning streak ended in a four-set loss at Marist, 14-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22. Sophomore Renee Lettow had 13 kills, senior Brittany Gerde 10 and freshman Daniele Brawn recorded her first career double-double, 10 digs and a career-high 10 kills, and freshman Carley Youngman had a career-best 21 digs for Canisius.
Niagara women's hockey: Melanie Mills scored unassisted after only 58 seconds to give the Purple Eagles the lead, but it was all RPI the rest of the way, 5-1, at Houston Fieldhouse in Troy. NU (0-8) was outshot, 36-14.
Buffalo State women's soccer: The Bengals' (8-7-2, 4-4-2 SUNYAC) conference playoff hopes ended with a 1-0 loss to Geneseo on Katie Price's goal with 3:35 left in the first overtime.
D'Youville women's soccer: With 5:21 left in regulation, Natalie Pelton (Olean) tied the game, then assisted on Nicole Mosher's game-winner three minutes into overtime for a 3-2 win over Wells.
D'Youville women's volleyball: With straight-set wins over Penn State-Harrisburg and Cazenovia, the Spartans (21-9) ran their school record winning streak to nine matches and tied the school mark for wins in a season set in 1997.
ECC cross country: Gina Adornetto (Clarence) earned All-Region III honors placing eighth in 22:19. Daneil Wendt (Starpoint) earned men's regional honors, finishing sixth in 30:02.
ECC men's hockey: Daniel Wendt (Starpoint) scored four straight goals in the second period in an 8-3 opening win over Broome CC.
