Williams Mills Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, will host the District VIII fall meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday in Beechwood Residence, Getzville. During the Regents roundtable, Edward Newman, field office director of citizenship and immigration, will explain the U.S. naturalization examination. Entertainment by the Serendipity Hand Bells, directed by Dr. Mildred Frischleille, will follow a buffet lunch.

David Noyes, the Automobile Association of America's Going Places editor and an award-winning photographer, will be the speaker at a Zonta Club of Amherst dinner in Fanny's restaurant at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Members of the Gamma Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will meet at 5:30 p.m Tuesday in United Methodist Church on Grand Island. Judi Greer will give a presentation on Eleanor Roosevelt, and new members will be initiated. Dinner will be served.

Southtowns Christian Women's Club will hold a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. next Thursday in the Columns restaurant, Elma. The village market will feature homemade baked goods, candy and preserves. Quota International of Amherst will sponsor a luncheon and fashion show, "Fashion Notes" at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in Hearthstone Manor. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for viewing of baskets to be raffled. Men's and women's apparel from Talbots, Riverside Men's Shop and Furs by Russell will be shown. WKBW-TV anchorwoman Ginger Geoffrey is mistress of ceremonies. Holy Angels Academy Alumnae Association will have its fifth annual wine and beer tasting from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 1 in the academy's O'Shaunecy Hall, 24 Shoshone Drive. The event will feature a selection of white, red and dessert wines, provided by Hertel-Parker Liquor Store and a variety of beers from Flying Bison Brewery. The event also includes music, light fare, a tour of the school's new facilities and auction items. Chairwomen for the event are Tara Wisniewski and Kathleen Kinder.
