Canisius-Niagara women's volleyball: Canisius won sets four and five to gut out a 21-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 15-9 win over
Niagara. It was the fifth straight win for the Golden Griffins, who improved to 14-6 overall and 9-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Renee Lettow had a career-high 18 kills for Canisius, Danielle Brawn had a
career-high 23 digs and Sarah Podlesh added 19 digs. For Niagara (4-19 overall, 2-9 MAAC) Michelle James had 19 digs and 52 assists while Holly Allgeier had 17 kills.
Buffalo State women's soccer: The Bengals took a 1-0 lead just 52 seconds into the second half, but Fredonia came back with goals in the 64th and 68th minutes to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 win. Courtney Hilliker (Williamsville South) scored for the Bengals (8-6-2 overall, 4-3-2 SUNYAC). Fredonia (4-4-1 SUNYAC) held a 12-7 advantage in shots.
Medaille women's soccer: Laura Freeman scored at the 9:14 mark in overtime to give the Mavericks a 2-1 win over Pitt-Bradford. The Panthers took a 1-0 lead when Medaille scored an own goal in the first half. Katie Bush evened the game for Medaille (9-8, 5-2 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) in the 74th minute.
Medaille men's soccer: Medaille scored all 10 goals in the first 56 minutes in a 10-0 rout of Pitt-Bradford. Alexander Rouse scored three goals and Austin Meier added two for the Mavericks (11-5, 7-0 AMCC).
Hilbert men's golf: Juniors Brian Rathke (Bishop Timon-St. Jude) and Joe Roberts were named to the AMCC honorable mention team. Roberts had a scoring average of 81.4 and earned medalist honors at the Daemen Invitational. Rathke had an 82.3 average with three top-10 finishes, including a seventh-place showing at the AMCC Championship.
