Trivia: This one never gets old

Philadelphia's return to the World Series for the first time in 15 years brings to mind the 1983 pennant-winning "Wheeze Kids" that knocked off the Dodgers in the NLCS before losing to the Baltimore Orioles in five games in the Series, the Orioles' last big moment of glory.

The '83 Phils were loaded with older players that had won elsewhere, three of them being ex-Reds Pete Rose, Tony Perez and Joe Morgan. Not to mention future Hall-of-Famers Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton. But there were others as well.

Today's question is: Which players did not suit up for the '83 Phillies?

     A) Ron Reed   B) Richie Hebner  C) Tug McGraw   D) Garry Maddox

Talk about it in the comment section below and look for the answer in the On The Web section of the print edition of The News on Sunday, Oct. 19.
