Barbara Arnold, a 101-year-old retired Barker teacher, died Monday in the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility.
Born in Barker, Mrs. Arnold was a first-grade teacher for the Barker Central School District for 30 years before she retired in 1968. A lifelong Barker resident, she spent her winters in Florida from 1968 through 2000.
She was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor Denton, and a son, John.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Road, Barker.
