This Day in Buffalo Sports History

Oct. 13, 1970 -- The Buffalo Braves were preparing to start their first NBA season when they were hit by something of an earthquake.

Local businessman Paul Snyder bought the team. It was the start of quite a ride for the franchise, which was many things over its life but calm wasn't one of them.
