An acclaimed movie about cross-country running is coming to Amherst later this month. "The Long Green Line" is about York High School in Illinois, and its attempt to continue its running success under legendary coach Joe Newton. The movie has gotten some good reviews in the Chicago media, and you can see a clip of it by clicking here.

The movie will be shown at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 and at 4 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Sweet Home Middle School's auditorium on Maple Road in Amherst. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Proceeds will benefit the Stacey Scott Lung Cancer Registry at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
