Christopher G. Aiken, victim of commuter train crash near L.A.
Oct. 24, 1969 -- Sept. 12, 2008

A memorial service for Christopher G. Aiken will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St., Lockport.

Mr. Aiken, a Gasport native who was living in Thousand Oaks, Calif., was one of 25 people killed in the Sept. 12 crash of a commuter train outside Los Angeles. He was 38.

Mr. Aiken left Niagara County after graduating from Royalton-Hartland High School in 1988.

He previously worked for Adelphia Communications and for the past couple of years was employed with Aramark, the food-services company.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his first wife, Sandy; his stepdaughters, Sammie Trevett and Katy Trevett; his parents, Donna and Roy; two brothers, Shaun and Heath; and his grandmothers, Patte Griffith and Agnes.
